Testimonials

Our daughter, Mary, has been coached by Miles from an early age to present. We are grateful that he took her under his wing and mapped out exactly what she needed to do to succeed. He was even generous enough to let someone else coach her at one point because he knew that was what she needed at the time. Miles has always had Mary's best interest at heart. He is professional to the core and seems to know just what to say and do. Thanks to his help, Mary has broken five of her high school's goalkeeping records, and has won numerous awards and honors. Miles has been great and continues to be a good friend and mentor.

The training on and off the field that Andrew has received has been incredible over the last 2 years.  Miles’ work ethic is evident in the planning and implementation of his training sessions, utilizing every second of the time spent training.  Most goalkeepers don't get the training needed during their club or high school team practices.  My son Andrew truly enjoys the training session and the focus on the goalkeeper position. I have seen significant advances in Andrew's fundamentals technically, physically and mentally.  Miles truly cares about the development of goalkeepers with emphasis on the unique qualities it takes to learn this position. I have also been impressed with Miles’ willingness to talk with parents regarding their son or daughter to further enhance the learning experience.  The development of the Indiana Goalkeeper Academy is continuing to grow not only in participants, but has become the elite training program for goalkeepers in the state of Indiana.  I highly recommend Miles Glynn and the Academy.

I've been training with Miles nearly every day and there hasn't been a single session I've been disappointed with.  He's always prepared and constantly looks for ways to improve his already excellent training methods.  A high level of knowledge regarding all aspects of an athlete's position should be a given qualification for any coach, but unfortunately this is often not the case in today's athletics.  I assure anyone thinking about training with Miles that he more than fulfills this prerequisite.  As a goalkeeper, I've found there are so many little things that end up making a huge difference in one's performance, and I know I would not be playing at such a high level if it weren't for Miles' help and understanding of the position.

"I was very pleased this year when Miles joined our Butler Men’s Soccer Staff and decided to partner with the Butler Boys Soccer Camps as the Goalkeeping Director.  Miles is organized, knowledgeable, and committed to being the best. He works very hard on the craft of coaching, and he has been a vital component to our success.  He is a goalkeeping expert and puts in the time and effort, and has the attention to detail it takes to make good goalkeepers great. "

I have watched Miles Glynn coach goalkeepers for the past five years.  I send all of my team’s keepers to him because I know they are going to receive first class training in the technical, tactical and psychological components of the game that only Miles can provide.  Miles has become one of the premier goalkeeper coaches in the Midwest and we are fortunate to have him right here in our own back yard.

I have had the opportunity to work with Miles at the Club, ODP and College level.  He has shown me the ability to easily move from coaching beginner level keepers all the way to Division I college keepers.  His training sessions are well orgranized and challenging for all levels.  Miles did a fantastic job with our goalkeepers this past spring.  We have two freshman keepers with varying needs.  Miles was able to address the needs of both goalkeeprs, and we saw consistent improvement from each of them this spring.  His work with "still frame" photography and written explanations of ways to improve technique are defiitely helping our keeprs to improve.  Each of our keepers have commented to me about how much that exercise has helped them to rethink their starting positions and first step in making a save.  I am looking forward to Miles working with our keepers this fall as I am very confident in his ability to prepare our keepers for the upcoming season.

Out of all the goalkeeper coaches I have had in my career it is easy for me to say that I have been most consistently content with Miles Glynn.  I have been training with Miles for over two years and not once has he let me down.  He is always on time and always has a plan for each session.  No session I have been to with Miles has been a waste because he is so organized and knows what needs to be done but he doesn't over do it.  He is a very well rounded coach, training me not only in technicalities but also in the mental phase of goalkeeping, even going beyond to make sure I do what I can to keep my body in peak physical condition. The support Miles gives is second to none.  He is always interested in seeing myself and other goalkeepers improve, and he shows interest in us by asking how matches went or how our season is going. Without Miles Glynn I don't know where I would be today, he has done his best to prepare me for playing at a premiere level of soccer and given me the confidence to succeed.  I look forward to each session I get with Miles because I know I will get nothing short of the best coaching available.  Thank you Miles, for everything you have done for me thus far.

Throughout my career I have been to many clinics and camps around the country, but it wasn't until Miles Glynn started coaching me that I played at a level I never knew possible.  Coach Miles trained me in a way that pushed me to want to be better.  He always enforced the basics of goalkeeping while introducing new techniques and skills to help me become a higher level goalkeeper.  I came to training everyday excited to play and work hard for Coach.  He came to training every day excited and prepared to coach for me.  Coach Miles quickly found out how I trained best and adapted to my training style.  He knew what to say and how to coach me in a way that I could work best during training.  Miles Glynn is more than just a Coach, he is a mentor.  He has not only taught me about soccer, but has taught me about Life.  I can honestly say that I would not be at the level of goalkeeping I am today if it were not for Coach Miles Glynn.  Thanks Coach!

“One of the critical components of goalkeeper development is to continuously expose the player to levels of development at an early age through the high school years.  Years ago, we were introduced to Miles Glynn and have had the pleasure of watching our daughter, Courtney, as her skills have grown and developed under Miles’ influence during private lessons.  The training she has received has significantly benefited Courtney --- from preparing mentally for each game to technical skills in the box, such as mobility on the high shots, and on the spot decision-making.  Courtney’s confidence in her skill level continues to grow with the additional training she is participating in at IGA.”
-Debby Blake, mother of a U17 Goalkeeper now at Illinois State University (NCAA Division 1)

My eleven year old son Zain had been a midfieder in his first three years in travel soccer. In the spring of 2005, his coach moved him to the the goalkeeper position on a part time basis, citing his knowledge of the game and decision making skills. As a travel soccer coach myself, I was nervous of this switch as I did not think he had the attributes both physically and mentally, to play the goalie position. During that spring season, Zain was raw and marginally effective.

Desiring to give Zain the opportunity to develop and possibly succeed at this new position, that summer I enrolled him in the Goalkeeper School (now IGA)  with Miles Glynn. The transformation was instantaneous. After just five days with Miles, Zain was turning heads at our team practices.

In just the one week of training, Miles schooled him in the set position, lateral and vertical motion, collecting ground and air balls with knee extension, various dives, punts and goal kicks. I was amazed. We are now totally committed to IGA and although we live in Greenwood, we make the drive up to Lawrence Park for the weekly training sessions. The sessions are well organized with maximum utilization of the allocated time, enjoyable and each keeper gets individual attention. Thanks to Miles, the one time midfielder is now the goal keeper on 3 teams, U11 AA and U12 AA at the St Francis Club and the school team at OLG.
-Ian Santamaria, Coach, St Francis SC.

Enrolling my daughter in the Indiana Goalkeeper Academy has proven to be the best investment in her keeper training that I have made.  Every phase of her game has been positively impacted through the technical, physical and psychological training she has received from Miles Glynn.  Plus, each and every session was fun!!  Her coach was amazed at the difference in her abilities from November to March.  She is solid, consistent and smart in the goal.  We would recommend the Indiana Goalkeeper Academy to any age level keeper.
-Melanie Stallings, mother of a U14 goalkeeper

The training at IGA really helped to improve Drew's technical skills and has given him more confidence.  The training was valuable because it concentrated on the development of 'keepers - not something that he would normally receive in his regular team practices.  The training that Drew received at IGA has sharpened his decision making skills in a game situation.  The environment at IGA is very conducive to learning.  The instruction was excellent and the players had fun.  The training that Drew received at IGA will help him to compete at a higher level.
